AYN Odin 3 Portal Charges at 45W, Not 60W
The AYN Odin 3 Portal will charge at a maximum of 45W, not the 60W stated at launch. AYN confirmed the correction in a post on its official Discord server, reported on November 2 by Notebookcheck and ixbt.games. It blames an internal documentation discrepancy and says its official product page has been updated. We listed 60W in our launch coverage; that figure is now corrected.

What's new
- The Odin 3 Portal's maximum charging rate is 45W, not 60W. AYN says the finalized design and actual product configuration support 45W, and that the Portal will be manufactured and delivered to that spec.
- The cause, per AYN: an inconsistency in internal documentation while product materials were being prepared. AYN says the official product page now reflects the confirmed figure.
- Nothing else has changed. The 9,000mAh battery, Qualcomm Dragonwing Q8 chip, 7-inch 1080p 120Hz OLED display, Android 15 and early-November shipping all stand as announced, and AYN has not revealed any other spec changes.
- For context: 45W is still faster than the Odin 2 Portal's 27W, but slower than the regular Odin 3's 60W, even though the Portal has the bigger battery (9,000mAh vs 8,000mAh). That is why the correction matters to anyone who pre-ordered on the launch figure.
How it runs
- This is a spec correction, not a performance change. No battery, chip or display spec has moved, so expect the same device with longer charge times than 60W implied. No independent charging or battery-life tests exist yet, since the Portal has not shipped.
- The timing matters because AYN says shipping starts in early November. Anyone who pre-ordered expecting 60W charging should know before their unit arrives.
- We haven't tested it ourselves yet. See our compatibility list for what we have actually verified.
