nx2android 0.3.0 ports Tears of the Kingdom (WIP) and Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Android as native apps
Two new games
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom 1.4.3 is listed as work in progress: about 30 fps in open areas, 60 in caves and shrines on a Lenovo Legion Y700, and smoothest with a Turnip Vulkan driver.
- Pokémon Legends: Z-A 2.0.2 runs at 30 fps, matching the Switch. The developer has tested through Lumiose station; the city and battles are not checked yet. Its Oodle-packed shaders decode with the game's own decoder on the device, the same approach Arceus uses.
Metroid Dread's dark rooms and Samus lighting are fixed again, and Super Mario Odyssey's moon-glow flash, fog and first-use stalls are cleared. The supported list still spans Odyssey, Legends: Arceus, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Wonder, Hades II and more. Adreno or Xclipse only; Mali and PowerVR are out.
Drivers, replay and installs
- The Port tab's Vulkan driver field (or
porter port --vulkan-driver) can embed a driver such as Mesa Turnip into the APK via libadrenotools. If it fails to load, the system driver stays. TotK is called out as preferring Turnip. - Multithreaded replay records Vulkan commands on their own thread so the game's render thread does less work.
- Game data now pushes over tar archives: TotK's roughly 17 GB finished in about 23 minutes over Wi-Fi in the author's test, far better than copying hundreds of thousands of tiny files one by one.
- Pipelines a game hits for the first time build in the background, and an on-screen gamepad editor can snap controls to a grid.
How to get it
Download the Windows x64 or macOS arm64 zip from the GitHub release, run Setup → Download missing tools, set your own prod.keys, then Port a folder that holds your NSP/XCI (and update/DLC). Already on 0.2.0? Unzip 0.3.0 in place and re-port games to pick up the fixes. You must own the game; Overclocked never hosts dumps or keys, and ported APKs must not be shared because they contain the game.
