Azahar 2127.0 RC1 is the project's biggest drop yet: per-game settings on Android, a new FastInterp, and ROM Bundles
Android and performance
- Per-application settings on Android: long-press a game in the list to configure it on its own, the way desktop already worked.
- ADPF hints tell Android when CPU work is about to spike. The notes cite about a 15% speed boost on a tested Mali device.
- Custom graphics drivers are allowed on non-Adreno GPUs after relaxed checks.
- Turbo starts off when a game launches (matching desktop), home-screen shortcuts close Azahar when the game ends, and a secondary-display crash path is fixed.
All platforms
- FastInterp replaces the old DynCom interpreter for JIT-less builds. On modern iPhones the team reports full-speed play, with devices as old as the iPhone XS usable and playback over 200% in some cases.
- ROM Bundles (
.bcxi,.bcci,.bcia) pack a base game with updates, DLC or system files in one file. Create them on desktop via Tools → Create ROM Bundle; Android can run bundles made elsewhere but cannot create them yet. - Vulkan color blending is corrected, fixing the black box around defeated enemies in Shin Megami Tensei IV. Minecraft: New Nintendo 3DS Edition texture filtering is cleaned up, and audio / frame / input latency drops by about 1–2 frames in some cases.
- The project license moved from GPLv2+ to GPLv3+. Existing generated shader caches are invalidated, so the first sessions after an upgrade from 2126.2 or earlier can feel slower until shaders rebuild.
How to get it
Grab the RC1 builds from the official GitHub release. Report new bugs there. Overclocked does not host game files; you need your own dumps.
